President Chen Appoints Advisers

Taipei, May 20 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian of the Republic of China appointed 23 senior advisers and 78 national policy advisers Sunday for a one-year term. 

 

The Presidential Office announced the appointments on the first anniversary of Chen's presidency. 

 

The newly-appointed senior advisers to the President are Peng Ming-min, Chung Chao-cheng, Chiu Lien-hui, Yao Chia-wen, Hsu Hsin-liang, Sun Yun-suan, Li Kwoh-ting, Lee Chen-yuan, Chang Chien-pang, Chen Chi-sheng, Li Yuan-zu, Koo Cheng-fu, Yu Chen Yueh-ying, Yin Tsung-wen, Chang Rong-fa, Hsu Wen-lung, Chen Tien-mao, Tsai Wan-lin, Lin Rong-san, Tsai Wan-tsai, Koo Kuan-min, Sidney M.H. Yen, and Tang Fei.

 

All of them have served as senior adviser to President Chen since he took office one year ago. Among the 78 national policy advisers, there are 11 new faces.
