Numerous people were injured in London earlier today (September 15) following an explosion on an underground train, in what has been termed a terrorist attack. Secretary-General to the President Joseph Wu (吳釗燮), acting early this evening on behalf of President Tsai Ing-wen, contacted Acting Representative Andrew Pittam of the British Office Taipei to express the president's condolences to the victims and wish them a speedy recovery. He also conveyed the president's concern to the people of the United Kingdom. The people of Taiwan are keeping the UK in their thoughts, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in united opposition to terrorist violence and threats.
