The Organic Act of the Control Yuan National Human Rights Commission was implemented on May 1, 2020, and the Commission will formally begin operations when the sixth-term Control Yuan members take office on August 1, 2020. The Presidential Office Human Rights Consultative Committee has thus institutionalized human rights guarantees, and ceased operations on May 19, 2020 as approved by the president.
