Taipei, Aug. 16 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian visited the site of the 2003 HiNet Online Games Tournament at the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store in Taipei Saturday, cheering on the competitors in the championship event and telling them to "play hard."
President Chen told the participants that online game players, like baseball athletes, can also represent Taiwan to gain honor in international competition.
Noting that the online game players can also design online games software, Chen said he was pleased to learn that many universities and colleges have already established online games-related departments.
