President Lee Appoints Vincent Siew as New Premier
President Lee Teng-hui today issued a decree to approve the resignation of Premier Lien Chan and appoint Legislator Vincent Siew as new premier.
Outgoing Premier Lien, who submitted his resignation on August 21, will retain his post as vice president of this country.
