Taipei, Sept. 20 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian Saturday encouraged all educators in the nation to use their wisdom and patience and work closely with the government to promote educational development in Taiwan.
Speaking at an award presentation ceremony in honor of 10 outstanding educators of private schools, Chen said the Ministry of Education and other government agencies will help promote the development of both private and public schools. He stressed that education reform in Taiwan must be successful.
Chen also expressed the hope that all private schools will make their financial conditions transparent, and will establish healthy financial management systems.
