Taipei, Dec. 5 (CNA) Vice President Annette Lu received Paraguayan Minister of Education and Culture Blanca Ovelar de Duarte Friday at the Presidential Office and exchanged views on matters of mutual concern.
Lu told her guest that Taiwan can provide assistance to Paraguay in the educational field five ways, including helping Paraguayan needy children attend school by patronage, encouraging college students of the two countries to write each other, promoting donations of used computers for Paraguayan universities, promoting academic exchanges of the two countries' researchers and helping train Paraguayan skilled individuals.
Lu also extended a warm welcome to Ovelar and asked her to convey her regards to Paraguayan President Nicanor Duarte and Vice President Luis Castiglioni.
