Taipei, June 15 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian honored police Sunday at a ceremony to mark Police Day.
The president lauded the police force's contribution to maintaining social order and urged them to keep up their work, which he said is vital to the country's efforts to revitalize the economy.
However, he also called on them to improve their services to the public and steep up cooperation with the public in curbing crime.
