The Office of the President Opens on February 5

Close to 6,000 visitors toured the Office of the President on February 5, the first full-house Open Day for 2006. Many had lined up before dawn to enter the Office. The Office of the President first opened to the public on January 2, 1995. The total number of the visitors has reached 742, 832. This year, February 5 is the fifty-first open day in history.

While visiting the Office of the President, visitors also took part in the exhibitions being held at the Art Gallery of the Office, such as Lucky Dogs Bring A Year of Good Luck Exhibition, the Photo Exhibition on the Office of the President and the Presidential Art Craft Exhibition.

In front of the Office of the President, on the North Square, South Square, Chungking South Road, and Kaitakelan Boulevard, several performances were held with the active participation of civic groups.

The event concluded at four o'clock in the afternoon. The next open day is scheduled for April 2nd.
