Taipei, May 18 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian made an inspection tour of Taipei County Government-run Sanchung Hospital Sunday to review progress in its transformation into a facility specializing in treating severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
Senior government officials accompanying Chen on the inspection tour include Premier Yu Shyi-kun, Minister of Health Chen chien-jen and Taipei County Magistrate Su Tseng-chang.
Earlier in the day, President Chen visited Taipei Second Funeral Parlor to pay tribute to health care workers who have sacrificed their lives in fighting the disease, including two doctors and three nurses.
