"We will continue to take a dual-approach, that is, purchasing and self-production, to acquire related drugs and vaccines," the president told the scientists, and reminded them to keep track on any variations of virus strains.
Besides medication and vaccination, the president nonetheless emphasized to the professionals and experts the importance of long-term public education and promotion campaigns in regard to disease prevention.
The National Health Institute has been founded for ten years. Before he concluded the visit, the president asked Premier Su Tseng-chang, who also joined the visit, to assist the institute in solving the problems and challenges it has encountered in the past decade.
