On April 1, the second Open House Weekend, 4,479 people, including citizens and friends from overseas, visited the Office of the President, enjoying art exhibitions, performances and having great fun.
Inside the presidential building, visiting guests viewed historic photos of the Office of the President, civilian and military medals, Taiwanese culture and crafts.
Outside the building, thousands of people enjoyed tasting Taiwanese fruits and many other kinds of agricultural products. There were performances by kindergarten children and high school students, including marching bands, color guards, drummers, and Tai Chi dancers.
Mark Chen, Secretary-General of the Office of the President, thanked the police, voluntary workers, vendors, performers, and the visitors for their contributions to the event.
This was the 52nd Open House Weekend since the presidential building was first open to the public in 1995. The total number of the visitors has reached 747,311. The next Open House Weekend is scheduled for Sunday, June 4th and the Office of the President welcomes and awaits all.
