The Department of Public Affairs of the Office of the President issued a statement saying that Presidential Office Deputy Secretary-General Ma Yung-cheng again categorically denies Legislator Chiu Yi's false allegations against him.

According to the Department of Public Affairs, Deputy Secretary-General Ma said that Chiu, as a legislator and public figure, should refrain from making groundless accusations and engaging in malicious behavior.  The deputy secretary-general to the president will hold Chiu legally and politically responsible for his actions.
