President Chen Attends National Prayer Breakfast
2006-05-27

President Chen Attends National Prayer Breakfast.
President Chen Shui-bian attended the sixth National Prayer Breakfast on May 27. On this occasion, the president named social resource allocation and China's suppression as the current difficulties Taiwan is facing domestically and internationally.

"National identification" is yet another area that the president asked God for strength, hoping that all the citizens love and identify with this country.

Taiwan's international situation is more difficult than the domestic one, said the president. He particularly pointed out that Taiwan's humanitarian aids to the international community have been distorted, even excluded, under political pressure. Therefore, he asked God to help Taiwan "make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert," and bring Taiwan's beatific bless to the needy around the world.

Finally, the president wished all the citizens peace and joy, and himself strength and courage.
