When meeting with board members of the Taiwan District of Kiwanis International on May 30 at the Office of the President, President Chen Shui-bian congratulated them on the success of this year's Kiwanis International Asian Pacific annual meeting held in March by the Taiwan district.
The president first praised the organization for its pursuit of truth, goodness, beauty, and for its recognition, appreciation, and creation of blessings, which are instrumental in making Taiwan a more harmonious society.
The president also thanked the organization for its endeavors to promote Taiwan's agriculture, which has opened up a new horizon for the sale of the local agricultural products.
To conclude the meeting, the president wished his guests good health and their organization a brighter future.
