King Mswati III Bids Farwell to President Chen
2006-06-20

President Chen Shui-bian said on June 20 that the United Nations Resolution 2758 has only solved the issue of Chinese representation and at the same time rendered the people of Taiwan isolated from the international community. Therefore, he called for the United Nations and its sub-organizations not to exclude Taiwan’s participation.

The president made the above statement when meeting with His Excellency King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Swaziland at the Office of the President, following their first meeting on June 16.

In the meeting, the president thanked King Mswati III again for his long-time support to Taiwan, and praised him for his efforts and contributions to the development of Swaziland.

In the meeting, the king also bade farewell to the president, concluding his ninth visit to Taiwan.

The other guests who attended the meeting included Prince Mahlaba, Princess Phumelele, Governor of Ludzidzini Royal Village Jim Gama, Foreign Minister Mathendele Dlamini.
