On July 21, Secretary-General to the President Mark Chen unveiled the presidential office's 24th local culture exhibition, themed "Taiwan Silicon Valley: Cultural Science City."
Since the exhibition displays Hsinchu City's local characteristics, the secretary-general particularly recommended the city's glass art, the Science Park, and its local staple--well-known rice noodle.
The secretary-general said that the Presidential Office local cultural exhibitions present to visitors the achievements of Taiwan's community development, and through competitions among the cities he hoped that Taiwan's national competitiveness would be ultimately upgraded.
The exhibition, sponsored by Taiwan's Hsinchu City, will last until October 13.
