President Chen Has Talks over Tea with Aboriginal Opinion Leaders in Taitung
Taitung, April 16 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian said Wednesday that a disposal site for state-owned Taiwan Power Company's nuclear waste other than Orchid Island will be found this year.
The president made the remarks during a meeting with 21 aboriginal opinion leaders, including former Legislator Yang Tien-sheng of the Paiwan tribe, in Taitung, eastern Taiwan.
The president also took the opportunity to praise the aboriginal people, saying that without them, there would be no Taiwan.
