This year is the final time that President Chen and Vice President Lu will be in office during Mother's Day, thereby marking the last time that they will be able to express their good wishes and gratitude to the mothers of Taiwan in this manner.
The Department of Public Affairs said that President Chen's mother was previously hospitalized, but has recovered and has returned home. The president is relieved, and he hopes that each mother on Taiwan will take special care of her health.
