Vice President Lu Receives President Kato Myllymaki of the World Medical Association

Taipei, March 11 (CNA) Vice President Annette Lu Tuesday asked the visiting president of the World Medical Association, Kato Myllymaki, to use the association's influence with the World Health Organization (WHO) to get Taiwan admitted to the WHO.

As a member of the "global village, " Lu said, Taiwan is eager to do its part to help the world improve the standard of medical care.

Once admitted to the WHO, Lu said, Taiwan would be a valuable member, given its well-developed medical care system and high standard of hygiene.
