President Chen Attends a Memorial Concert Held for the Deceased Presidential Advisor Liu Hsia
Taipei, Feb. 22 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian attended a memorial concert Saturday held for the deceased presidential advisor Liu Hsia, and bestowed Liu with a citation in recognition of her long-term contribution in promoting the welfare of the underprivileged and literature.
In addition to expressing admiration to Liu for her ceaseless efforts in promoting the welfare of the disabled, President Chen said the government will plan the country's national pension system with Liu's suggestions in mind to further protect the elderly underprivileged.
