On the morning of December 8, President Ma Ying-jeou presided over ceremonies at the Presidential Office Building to swear in the new Premier, Vice Premier, and officials of the Executive Yuan.
After the swearing-in ceremonies commenced, the president took the position from where he would administer the oaths, and the master of ceremonies called out the names of those to be sworn in. Then the entire group of new officials, led by Premier Mao Chi-kuo (毛治國), recited their oaths of office. After the formalities, President Ma shook hands with each of the officials and offered his congratulations. On hand to witness the proceedings were Vice President Wu Den-yih, Legislative Yuan President Wang Jin-pyng (王金平), Judicial Yuan President Hau-Min Rai (賴浩敏), Examination Yuan President Wu Jin-lin (伍錦霖), Secretary-General to the President Timothy Chin-Tien Yang (楊進添), and National Security Council Secretary-General Pu-tsung King (金溥聰).
