Taipei, July 28 (CNA) President Chen Shui-bian Sunday met with 1,200 young overseas Chinese from more than 20 countries in the world and asked them to tell their foreign friends what they have seen in Taiwan.
The overseas Chinese teenagers are participating in a summer educational program sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission in Taipei.
Chen said he hoped the teenagers will take full advantage of this opportunity to familiarize themselves with Taiwan society and establish "metal connections" with the people on Taiwan, so that they will be able to introduce Taiwan and its achievements to their foreign friends.
Chen also expressed the hope that the overseas Chinese teenagers will visit the President's website and keep in touch with him by email from time to time.
