President Tsai directs foreign ministry to convey condolences to Austria following terror attack, and ensure safety of expatriates
In response to the terror attack in Vienna, Austria on November 3 (Taipei time), Presidential Office Spokesperson Xavier Chang (張惇涵) stated that after learning about this unfortunate incident, President Tsai Ing-wen directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to express the Taiwan government's sincere condolences to the Austrian victims and their families. The president also asked MOFA to monitor the security situation of Taiwanese expatriates in Austria and provide them with all necessary assistance to ensure their safety. On behalf of the government, Spokesperson Chang also condemned such acts of terrorist violence and expressed Taiwan's support for the government and people of Austria.
