Taipei, April 20 President Chen Shui-bian rode a bicycle to work this morning to take the lead in marking Earth Day, which falls on Sunday this year.
Accompanied by Hau Lung-pin, director general of the Environmental Protection Administration, and Ho Cheng-tan, vice minister of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Chen set off on the bike and pedaled through the city's streets to the Presidential Office. Chen called on the people to cherish energies and protect environment for our future generations.
