Taipei, March 28 (CNA) President Chen said that he will announce Thursday the establishment of five categories of "Presidential Culture Awards." 

Chen made the remark while receiving outstanding national college service community leaders at the Presidential Office. 

Each recipient of the award will receive NT$1 million in prize money. The "Sun Medal" will be conferred on persons who devote themselves to volunteer social work and can be cited as social models. 

Chen said that the new awards are proof that the government values the spirit of social volunteers.
