The Office of the President extends a sincere welcome to United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar for his upcoming visit to Taiwan, during which he and his delegation will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen.

During the pandemic, Secretary Azar has also led US agencies in their collaborations with Taiwan to combat COVID-19. The secretary's visit to Taiwan is a testament to the friendship between our two nations, and based on our existing foundation, we look forward to continuing to expand our global cooperative partnership, working together to safeguard our shared values of democracy, freedom and human rights.
