Presidential Office congratulates Malaysia on successful general election
We extend sincere congratulations to the people of Malaysia for upholding democratic principles, and the Pakatan Harapan bloc led by Mahathir bin Mohamad for winning a majority of seats in the recent general election, completing the country's first transfer of power between political parties. Building on the foundation of our increasingly close and friendly relations, we hope to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas under our New Southbound Policy, and work together to promote the well-being of people in both countries, as well as regional stability and prosperity.
