Presidential Office thanks US Secretary of State for statement congratulating President Tsai on her inauguration

The Presidential Office expressed sincere thanks to US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo for his statement early on May 19 congratulating President Tsai Ing-wen on her second-term inauguration.
  
Presidential Office spokesperson Alex Huang (黃重諺) stated that the Presidential Office is grateful for US Secretary of State Pompeo's statement, which testifies to strong US support for Taiwan's democracy and underscores Taiwan-US mutual trust and goodwill. Spokesperson Huang said that, as Secretary of State Pompeo made clear, Taiwan and the United States have a shared vision for the Indo-Pacific region, and the US will continue to consider Taiwan a force for good in the world and a reliable partner. As a member of the international community and based on our strong foundation, Taiwan will continue to collaborate with the United States, deepen our cooperative global partnership, and contribute to peace, stability, and wellbeing in the Indo-Pacific.
