On the morning of July 16 local time (evening of July 16 Taipei time), President Tsai Ing-wen concluded her visit to St. Christopher and Nevis,  and departed for St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) on her Journey of Freedom, Democracy, and Sustainability. She arrived with her delegation at Argyle International Airport in SVG after a one-hour flight.

After the chartered plane came to a halt on the tarmac, ROC Ambassador to SVG, Mr. Calvin C.H. Ho (何震寰) and SVG Deputy Director of Foreign Policy and Research Sandy Peters-Phillips boarded the plane to welcome the president. Governor-General's Deputy Susan Dougan and Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves then welcomed her at the bottom of the airstair. After shaking hands and exchanging greetings, they ascended a dais to receive military honors.

After the playing of the two countries' national anthems, President Tsai reviewed the military honor guard and proceeded to the reviewing area for mutual introductions, where she chatted with children in a receiving line.

After a short break, President Tsai's motorcade headed to the Office of the Prime Minister, where she met with Prime Minister Gonsalves to exchange views on mutual concerns. Subsequently, both of them acted as witnesses as Taiwan's Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) and SVG Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade & Commerce Louis Straker signed the two agreements: Agreement on Public Finance Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Agreement between the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadine on Combating Transnational Crimes. Through exchange and sharing of experience, Taiwan and SVG hope to strengthen bilateral cooperation in financial management, and enhance information exchange in combating transnational crime, working together to promote cooperation and exchanges covering judiciary and policing.
